More Missour(ee) for #Gamecocks from Mizzou 23-10 (AUDIO/VIDEO)

Williams-Brice Stadium, Columbia: USC fans who came to Homecoming at Williams-Brice Stadium Saturday afternoon were hoping to be treated to another thrilling win by the 25th ranked home team. Instead, they were tricked up by an underdog Missouri team that took the fight to the Gamecocks from the start and never relented.

Two days before Halloween, it was the Tigers performing the magic in a 23-10 win that extended their winning streak in the series to four while snapping the Gamecocks’ own four game winning streak.

Missouri never trailed and built a 17-0 lead. The Gamecocks closed to within 17-10 in the second half, and while the defense limited the Tigers to only a pair of field goals, the offense could only produce one field goal in the second half.

Quarterback Spencer Rattler had no time to look down field for receivers and spent most of the half running for his life. And the Gamecocks were without running back Marshawn Lloyd for most of the half due to a quad injury. Except for the one field goal drive, the Gamecocks did not surpass their on 43-yard line in the second half.

USC finished with a season low 203 yards, the fourth straight game they have fewer yards than the game before. Rattler was sacked four times and overall, the offense suffered 11 tackles for loss. Their longest pass play on the day was 25 yards, and their longest run was 12 yards.

The announced crowd of 77,578 represented a sellout for stats purposes, but not all showed up, and there were plenty of empty seats by the fourth quarter. USC falls to 5-3 overall and 2-3 with a trip to Vanderbilt coming up next week.
