#Clemson drops in the AP Poll as Tennessee, Michigan move up

DJ Uiagalelei runs for yardage against Florida State Saturday night (TigerNet)

Clemson remain undefeated with their win at Florida State Saturday night, but that didn’t resonate with AP voters who moved the Tigers down a spot this week to fifth while voting Tennessee into the third spot and Michigan into fourth. Tennessee, conqueror of Alabama Saturday, moved up three spots while the Wolverines gained one position. Georgia and Ohio State remained 1-2.

Clemson lost 12 points in the voting compared to last week. The Tigers were voted as high as second by one writer and as low as sixth by four others. Georgia received 31 of the first-place votes with Ohio State getting 17 and Tennessee 15 first place votes.

Of course, the only ranking that matters is the one from the CFP committee, and the first one of those will be released November 1st.
