Gamecocks offensive coordinator Marcus Satterfield and defensive coordinator Clayton White met with the media, Wednesday, as South Carolina continues preparations for its Week 1 matchup with Georgia State. Satterfield fielded questions ranging from how he’s handling practice reps for the reserve quarterbacks to how the rotation at wide receiver is shaking out. Earlier in the week, receiver Dakereon Joyner said the offense was in better rhythm during fall camp than it had been prior to last season. Both Satterfield and White agreed with that assessment, with Satterfield attributing the improvement to players entering a second year in the system. In addition to taking questions on personnel, White shared his philosophy on forcing turnovers and why he’s not dwelling on his unit’s inability to turn the USC offense over in the recent scrimmage.
