This will be the week 2023 6-10 GG Jackson of Ridge View will announce his future plans. The school revealed today they will introduce their new basketball coach, expected to be Joshua Staley of AC Flora, Wednesday at 2:30 at a press conference at the school, and Jackson will follow with his commitment announcement at around 3:00 PM. Jackson has been considering USC, North Carolina, Duke, Auburn and Georgetown for his college options, as well as the G League.
Saturday 6-8 Julian Phillips of Blythewood and Sunrise Christian Academy in Wichita made an unofficial visit to USC to meet new head coach Lamont Paris and his staff for the first time. Phillips is a former LSU commitment and one of the top prospects in the country still uncommitted for the 2022 class. Reportedly he is to visit Auburn Monday and Tuesday on an official visit. Southern Cal, Louisville, Kansas State, Florida State, LSU and Baylor are some of the other programs in pursuit, plus he’s looked at pro-options with Overtime Elite and the G League’s Ignite.
Clemson target 6-5 Wichita State transfer Dexter Dennis plans to name his top five soon. He’s also visited Indiana.
