Two USC basketball targets who recently made visits announced commitments to other programs on Thursday. 6-5 Juwan Gary, a Columbia native and a transfer from Alabama, committed to Nebraska. And 6-11 Fede Federiko of Finland and Northeast Oklahoma JC, committed to Pitt. He had previously been committed to West Virginia.
The Gamecocks are waiting on word from 6-5 Citadel transfer Hayden Brown. He made official visits to USC, Loyola of Chicago and Georgia Tech and should be in the process of finalizing his decision.
Former USC forward Jalyn McCreary is transferring to Mercer from USF.
USC quarterback target Dylan Lonergan is set to name his top five Friday, and his father said the news should drop around noon. Lonergan visited USC for the spring game and the Gamecocks are expected to be in his five.
USC Thursday night offered LB Michael Montgomery (6-3 220) of Seattle. He visited the campus on April 2nd. He also has offers from Oregon, Washington, Nevada and Idaho. He also has visited Oregon and Washington.
Clemson target OT Ian Reed was offered by Wisconsin.
2024 WR Mazeo Bennett plans to attend the West Virginia spring game Saturday.
2024 OT Kam Pringle of Woodland was offered by Tennessee.
