Two position standout 2023 CB/RB Treyaun Webb (6-0 188) of Jacksonville has set two unofficial visits for January. And based on his visits, he’ll likely be locked into the Dukes Mayo Bowl on Thursday. Webb has set a January 15th visit to USC and one two weeks later to North Carolina. Of course, the Gamecocks and Tar Heels face off Thursday in Charlotte. Webb has a Power Five heavy offer list that also includes Ohio State, Michigan, Miami, Mississippi State, Auburn, Florida, LSU, Florida State, Georgia, Penn State, Kentucky, Wisconsin and Southern Cal. He also has drawn interest from Clemson and visited there last June. Also last summer he visited Georgia, Florida, Ohio State and Oklahoma. Webb has publicized a favorites list in January of Penn State, Oklahoma, Ohio State, Georgia, Florida and LSU. He was once committed to Georgia and then later to Oklahoma. As a running back, in his career he’s rushed for 2371 yards and 27 touchdowns.

USC offered 2023 WR Ejani Shakir (6-0 175) of Pennsauken, NJ. Earlier this month he named a top 8 of Penn State, Maryland, Virginia Tech, West Virginia, Virginia, Ole Miss, NC State and Boston College.

USC offered 2023 WR/DB Ahmari Borden (6-3 180) of Quincy, FL. Some of his other offers are South Florida, Tennessee, Vanderbilt, Auburn, Notre Dame and West Virginia.

USC offered 2024 CB Jivan Baly (6-0 165) of Norcross, GA.

WR Sam Pinckney, a Greenwood native, is transferring after 3 productive seasons at Georgia State.  He played little as a freshman in 2018 but was a major contributor last three seasons.  In his career, he had 113 catches for 1668 yards and 13 touchdowns.

Clemson target DT Christen Miller of Ellenwood, GA plans to take an official visit to Florida A&M in January. He has been to Southern Cal and Ohio State and has talked of taking visits with Miami and Oregon in January.

Chapin OL Chase Sweigart received a PWO offer from Auburn. Sweigart had offers from ODU, USF, Tulane, ECU, Liberty, Virginia Tech, Western Kentucky, Charlotte and Catawba. He went to games this season at USF and Auburn. He does plan to set up some official visits in January, and he’s been talking with Tulane about that. Clemson and UT-Chattanooga also have been in touch. Clemson likes him as a PWO candidate.

DB Chase Davis of Palmetto Prep accepted a PWO offer from Alabama.
