Two of USC’s top targets are scheduled for official visits this weekend for the Kentucky game. WR Antonio Williams of Dutch Fork also is scheduled for official visits to Ole Miss October 22nd and Auburn November 27th. And DT Jamari Lyons of Melbourne, FL has taken official visits to Florida and Indiana. He’s also taken several unofficial visits to Florida. This weekend is expected to be one of the biggest, if not the biggest, recruiting weekend of the season for the Gamecocks. Several committed players are due in as are a number of unofficial visitors from the 2023 class and beyond.
Also scheduled for an official visit for basketball this weekend is 6-8 Elijah Sanders of Phoenix. He has taken official visits to San Diego State, Notre Dame, Miami and Virginia Tech over the last four weekends.
6-6 Josh Reed of Atlanta made an official visit to USC this past weekend. Reed also has taken official visits to Liberty, Rice and Northwestern. He is scheduled to visit Cincinnati this weekend. He named a final five in August of USC, Boston College, Northwestern, Butler and Cincinnati.
Clemson offered 6-5 Chauncey Gibson of Dallas. He’s rated a 3-star in the 247Sports Composite and ranked #57 nationally among shooting guards. He plans to announce his top four on Monday. He’s taken officials to SMU and ODU. Also has offers from USF, Creighton, Marist, Texas Tech, New Mexico, New Mexico State and Tulsa.
Clemson offered 2024 6-5 Paul McNeil Jr. of Rockingham, NC. Tennessee and Western Carolina are two other early offers.
6-5 Justyn Fernandez of IMG Academy, who had Clemson in his top ten, committed to George Mason Friday.
6-6 Ryan Dunn of Freeport, NY, who had USC in his top eight, committed to Virginia Saturday.
USC target 2024 6-4 Kyle Greene Jr. of Atlanta was offered by LSU.
2023 5-star 6-1 Madison Booker, of Ridgeland, MS has USC in her final 9. The others are Connecticut, Mississippi State, Tennessee, Louisville, Duke, Oregon, Texas and Florida State.
USC offered WR Kaleb Webb (6-3 185) of Powder Springs, GA. He’s been committed to ECU since June when he made an unofficial visit there. He was on hand September 11th for the USC win in Greenville. Webb also has offers from Tennessee, Ole Miss, Louisville, Kentucky, Georgia Tech, Vanderbilt, Tulane and Western Kentucky.
Clemson offered DE Marvin Jones Jr. (6-4 225) of Fort Lauderdale. His father was an All-American linebacker at Florida State and was the first-round pick of the Jets in 1993. He played ten years in the league. Last season Jones the younger had 55 tackles with 14 tackles for loss and 13 sacks. Some of his other offers are USC, Auburn, Miami, Florida, Florida State, Oklahoma, Alabama, Georgia and Texas. He has scheduled official visits to Oklahoma for this weekend, Alabama November 6th and Florida State November 13th. Jones is rated a five-star and ranked the #7 defensive lineman nationally in the 247Sports Composite.
USC target Stone Blanton of Madison, MS made his official visit to Ole Miss over the weekend. He is scheduled to take his official visit to Mississippi State this coming weekend. USC and Texas A&M are the other two on his short list. A decision could come soon after this visit to Starkville. He has been committed to Mississippi State for baseball, but he’s making his decision based on football.
2023 WR Carnell Tate (6-2 185) of IMG Academy and Chicago was offered by USC. He’s rated a four-star and ranked the #9 WR nationally in the class in the 247Sports Composite. Ohio State, Michigan, Notre Dame and Florida State are some other offers.
Making unofficial visits to Clemson for Saturday’s game were 2023 OT Lance Williams of Alcoa, TN, 2023 LB Drayk Bowen of Merrillville, IN and 2023 SAF Sonny Styles of Pinkerington, OH.
USC and Clemson target 2023 LB Troy Ford Jr. was offered by Tennessee.
2023 RB Jarvis Green of Dutch Fork visited Wake Forest Saturday.
2024 QB Jadyn Davis of Catawba Ridge visited Georgia Saturday. He had originally planned to be at Penn State.
