The “Palmetto Pigskin Tour” rolled back into Charleston on Thursday to visit with The Citadel. The Bulldogs are coming off an extremely busy last twelve months as they played four games in the fall, before taking on an eight-game spring schedule. The challenging slate included matchups with Clemson, South Florida, and Army, coupled with a full Southern Conference schedule between February and April.
Head coach Brent Thompson is heading into his fifth season with The Citadel and hopes to turn some heads this fall. The Bulldogs were picked seventh in the Southern Conference preseason poll. They open the season on Thursday, September 2nd at Coastal Carolina, before hosting Charleston Southern on September 11th.
