Wednesday has been another hectic day for new USC football coach Shane Beamer. In the morning he formally introduced his offensive line coach Greg Adkins to Gamecock Nation, seemingly completing what has been an arduous task of putting a staff together. Then in the afternoon, Football Scoop reported Gamecocks running backs coach Des Kitchings, who Beamer held over from the Will Muschamp staff, was leaving for the Atlanta Falcons.
On top of all of that, the SEC released the 2021 football schedule for all of its teams Wednesday afternoon. The Gamecocks already knew four of their games…the opener at home September 4th against Eastern Illinois, September 11th at ECU, October 2nd at home against Troy and November 27th at home against Clemson.
The SEC filled in the rest of the slate with the Gamecocks’ eight league games. At home they will face Kentucky, Vanderbilt, Florida and Auburn. On the road they will see Georgia, Tennessee, Texas A&M and Missouri.
