#STRecruiting: Delp hears from #Clemson & Gamecocks; Two big Christmas Day announcements

Oscar Delp

2022 four-star TE Oscar Delp (6-5 220) of Cumming, GA can check off Clemson and USC on his desired offer list. Earlier this week Delp was offered by Clemson, and Thursday night he received his offer from the Gamecocks. Those two join a long list of Power 5 offers for Delp. And he’s not ready to name either a favorite. But both are special to him. His uncle played for Clemson and his mother went to USC.

“It definitely puts them high on my list,” Delp said of Clemson after getting the offer. “It’s a great school and a great program. Hopefully the dead period will end and I can get out there as soon as possible.”

His sentiments were similar toward the Gamecocks after receiving their offer.

“It was awesome finally getting it,” Delp said. “I’m very excited to see what coach (Shane) Beamer does with the offense and the tight end position. I can’t wait to get out and visit. It’s definitely going to be a school I will be interested in. Next step is to get out there and visit as soon as the dead period ends.”

Some of the other offers for Delp are Georgia, Michigan, Alabama, Auburn, Arkansas, Tennessee, Ole Miss, Ohio State, Southern Cal, North Carolina, Stanford, Florida State, Duke, Georgia Tech, Michigan State, Minnesota and West Virginia.

Meantime, USC and Clemson stand to land Christmas Day commitments.

CB Isaiah Norris of TL Hanna and Georgia Military JC has set 2:00 PM for a release of his commitment announcement. The Gamecocks moved to the front with him after their offer earlier this month. He has been committed to Middle Tennessee and also has offers from Tennessee and Washington State.

2022 WR Adam Randall of Myrtle Beach will make his announcement at Noon with Clemson the big favorite over his other finalists USC, Oregon and Tennessee.
