USC 83-Alabama 57 Game Summary

South Carolina took a 2-0 lead 45 secpmds into the game and never trailed. They led by nine at the end of the first quarter, and their largest lead was 32 points.
Alabama closed to within 40-34 at halftime, but USC won the third quarter by 13 points and the fourth quarter by seven points.
The Gamecocks shot 50% for the game and were 14-17 from the foul line.
South Carolina forced 16 turnovers and converted those into 20 points.
USC outscored Alabama 40-18 in the paint and 25-4 on fastbreaks.
Joyce Edwards led USC with 25 points on 11-18 shooting from the floor.
USC has won 24 in a row over the Crimson Tide, and the Gamecocks extended their home SEC winning streak to 49 games.
The Gamecocks are 14-1 overall and 1-0 in the SEC and will play at Florida Sunday.
USC played without second leading scorer Ta’Niya Latson who is day to day while recovering from a sprained ankle.
