Key comments from Shane Beamer

• Lots of respect for Oklahoma quarterback, Sooner defense is playing at a high level, they are a blur to watch on film, dangerous punt returner, and they will fake punts.
• His offensive linemen love to practice and compete, they play with high energy and spirit.
• They’ve still got to work on creating more turnovers, that’s crucial to any win, they’ve only produced six so far.
• Likes the mentality of his team and the way they have approached their business this week.
• Dylan Stewart has been huge, every play, how he affects the other team’s offense has been crucial to the play of the defense.
• Damarcus Leach is a solid third corner for them, he has filled in nicely the last two games, he practices well and has a great mentality.
• No pitch count on Stewart anymore; it’s just go play, he’s kept his poise and displayed great body language despite being held a lot.
• During three-game losing streak, nobody lost belief, kept working, can’t let the Tennessee win be the highlight of the season, got to keep working to get better, he’s the same person he was before Florida game, and hopefully a better coach.
• Asked that if they run the table, should they be in the CFP at 9-3, he defaulted to the one game at a time approach and focused only on beating Oklahoma Saturday.
