STRecruiting: USC football adds to its offensive line with a commitment from Florida OT Clayton Lee

On the same day that USC men’s basketball added a “big man” to its roster, so too did the football team. Just not quite six feet, nine inches tall.

No, offensive tackle Clayton Lee is only 6’7″. But Shane Beamer hopes the 2027 Florida prospect can use his 315-pound frame to do big things in the SEC. The Callahan (Fla.) West Nassau lineman committed to the Gamecocks on Wednesday afternoon, revealing one of two silent commits to Beamer from Tuesday.

Lee took an official visit to the Gamecocks this past weekend and held offers from Florida, Virginia Tech, UCF, Pittsburgh, and NC State. He also made official visits to UCF and Virginia Tech, and he was scheduled to visit NC State this coming weekend.

He is the 9th commitment and 3rd OL to USC in the 2027 class.
