Aliyah Boston has helped USC dominate the paint in the Gamecocks run to the Final Four (Ryan Bethea)

Gamecocks head coach Dawn Staley addressed the media, Tuesday, ahead of South Carolina’s Final Four match up with Louisville. USC, the top overall seed, played one of its most complete games of the season in Sunday’s Regional Final, advancing past Creighton, 80-50.

South Carolina (33-2) also defeated Howard, Miami and North Carolina en route to their fourth Final Four appearance under Staley. The Gamecocks will now prepare to take on Louisville (28-4), the no. 1 seed out of the Wichita Region and one of the sport’s true heavyweights. Louisville handled 3rd-seeded Michigan, 76-64, Monday, to return to the Final Four for the first time since 2018.

The two no. 1 seeds will square off in Minneapolis, Minn., at 7 p.m., Friday. Stanford, the defending champions, will meet UConn in the other semifinal following USC-Louisville.
