South Carolina men’s basketball has announced its non-conference schedule on Wednesday morning. The Gamecocks will play 10 of their 14 non-SEC games at Colonial Life Arena, beginning with the season opener on Tuesday, Nov. 3 against Stetson.
Prior to the season opener, the Garnet & Black will hit the court first for a pair of exhibition contests. The Gamecocks will travel to Rock Hill, S.C. on Thursday, Oct. 15 to take on Wake Forest in “The Scout Exhibition” at the Rock Hill Sports & Event Center. Tip off for the contest against the Demon Deacons is slated for 6 p.m. The second exhibition will be announced at a later time.
Following the season opener against the Hatters, South Carolina continues its five-game homestand to open the 2026-27 season by hosting Southeast Missouri State (Sunday, Nov. 8), Saint Peter’s (Wednesday, Nov. 11), Gardner-Webb (Saturday, Nov. 14) and Elon (Wednesday, Nov. 18).
The next three contests will be played away from home as the Gamecocks travel to California for a pair of games in the Acrisure Series on Wednesday, Nov. 25 (Southern California) and Thursday, Nov. 26 (Arizona State) before squaring off with N.C. State in Raleigh, N.C. on Tuesday, Dec. 1 as part of the SEC/ACC Challenge. The contest against the Wolfpack will be the only true road game during non-conference play.
The Gamecocks return home to the friendly confines of Colonial Life Arena for a three-game homestand beginning with UT Martin on Sunday, Dec. 6 and Youngstown State on Saturday, Dec. 12. The home stretch will be culminated with a showdown against in-state rival Clemson on Tuesday, Dec. 15.
South Carolina will then match up against Maryland on Saturday, Dec. 19 in Baltimore, Md. before closing out the non-conference schedule with a pair of home games against North Carolina Central (Tuesday, Dec. 22) and South Carolina State (Tuesday, Dec. 29).
SEC play begins for the Gamecocks on Saturday, Jan. 2 when they travel to Baton Rouge, La. to square off against LSU.
