The NCAA allows a maximum of 34 players on a baseball roster. Based on the names we have accumulated via social media posts, we have the South Carolina roster with 33 players as of Monday night.

The breakdown: (tentative as players’ roles can be adjusted once fall practice begins)

• 22 pitchers
• 3 catchers
• 1 first baseman
• 1 second baseman
• 1 shortstop
• 1 third baseman
• 4 outfielders

Gamecock coach Kevin Schnall and his staff can continue to add players and then make adjustments after fall practice. Teams have to be down to the 34-player limit by December 1st.
