Lamont Paris and Ray Tanner join #SportsTalk to discuss #Gamecocks MBB (Paris and Tanner/AUDIO)

It’s official, and historic, the Gamecocks have a new MBB coach. On Thursday, USC announced the hiring of former UT-Chattanooga head coach Lamont Paris as its new men’s basketball coach. Paris becomes the 33rd men’s basketball coach at USC and the first African American to lead a major men’s program at the school. Carolina’s Board of Trustees approved a five-year, twelve-million-dollar contract for Paris.

After attending the introductory press conference both Paris and USC athletics director Ray Tanner stopped by SportsTalk to discuss the new direction of Gamecock basketball.
