It’s been 346 days since the USC baseball team last played a game. Mark Kingston had his team off to a 12-4 start going into SEC play last season when Covid ended the college baseball season. The Gamecocks are pre-season nationally ranked as high as 18th,, largely due to a pitching staff which is the deepest and most talented Kingston has had with the Gamecocks.
The Gamecocks will open the season Friday with a three game series against Dayton. Thursday morning Kingston held a media Zoom session to set the stage for his 4th season with the Gamecocks.
