#Gamecocks talk about adjustments to new 4-2-5 defensive scheme (AUDIO)

New USC defensive coordinator Clayton White will give the Gamecocks’ defense a completely new look in the fall. As a way of counteracting the predominance of passing in most games, White will deploy five defensive backs almost exclusively. Using a 5th defensive back is nothing new. Teams will always run in a fifth, or sixth, DB in passing situations. But White will base his defense out of the 4-2-5 look. Several Gamecock defenders met with the media Monday via Zoom to talk about that and the progress of the defense this spring.
