
USC announced Thursday afternoon that starting forward Myles Stute, who was injured in the second half of Saturday’s loss to Georgia, will miss the next two to three weeks with a shoulder injury. Stute had started all 17 games this season for the Gamecocks and was averaging just under 10 points per game. He has been the teams’ best three-point shooter at just under 39%.

Myles Stute will be out two to three weeks with a left shoulder strain. He left the game Tuesday night against Georgia with 10:57 to go in the second half and did not return.
A flagrant one, hook and hold was assessed on the play he was injured as he was attempting to get position to rebound a free throw.
Stute, who is in his first season in Garnet & Black, has started all 17 games this season for the Gamecocks. He’s the team’s third leading scorer, averaging 9.9 points per game. His 38.8 percent 3-point percentage leads the team and his 31 makes from behind the arc are second, behind only Meechie Johnson, who has made 35 triples so far this season.
