#Gamecocks show a lot of heart in Texas but fall to A&M 30-17 (VIDEO)

College Station, TX: Shane Beamer just wanted his team to have a chance in the fourth quarterback Saturday afternoon at Texas A&M, and his team delivered. The Gamecocks were down just 24-17 with the entire quarter left, but their offense could do nothing else against a staunch Aggie defense. The result was a 30-17 defeat, the Gamecocks’ fourth in a row that leaves them at 2-6 overall and 1-5 in the SEC going into November.

The Aggies pressured Gamecock quarterback Spencer Rattler from the start and forced three early intentional grounding penalties. Still, the Gamecocks struck first for a 7-0 lead, but the Aggies responded with three straight touchdown drives to put the Gamecocks in a hole from which they could not recover. But unlike the previous loss at Missouri, the Gamecocks did give themselves a chance at Kyle Field, they just couldn’t complete the job.
