Top ranked USC won another top ten showdown Sunday at the CLA with a 66-59 win over 8th ranked Maryland. The Gamecocks are 10-0 with four wins over top ten teams. Zia Cooke joined the 1000-point club in leading the Gamecocks with 20 points. Her layup with 5:13 to play gave USC the lead for good.
Aliyah Boston had 16 points, 16 rebounds and 7 blocks. She, too, joined the thousand-point club on Sunday. The Gamecocks outrebounded the Terps 61-34 including 24 on the offensive glass that led to 24 second chance points.
The Gamecocks play at Duke Tuesday night then return home to face Stanford on December 21st.
