#Gamecocks back on the practice field to prepare for first scrimmage of the preseason (AUDIO)

The Gamecocks returned to the practice field on Thursday with an eye towards Saturday’s scrimmage (Chris Gillespie)

Shane Beamer’s charges returned to the practice field on Thursday morning as preseason camp continued in Columbia. The practice also followed the Gamecocks’ appearance on the ESPNU “Welcome Home: South Carolina Football” series, featuring a behind-the-scenes look at Carolina football. The five-part documentary will air the next four Wednesdays at 7pm.

Following Thursday’s workout, USC made available a slew of defensive players to the media. You can hear their comments below. The Gamecocks will hold their first scrimmage of the preseason on Saturday.
