Dawn Staley and Geno Auriemma will renew their rivalry in late November as part of USC’s non-conference schedule

Forget the deviled eggs, cranberry sauce, and cheese balls; the real Thanksgiving appetizer will take place on November 24th in Connecticut. That’s when USC and UConn will renew the most heated rivalry in all of women’s basketball. The match-up in Uncasville will be a rematch of this past season’s “Final Four” contest between the two, won by the Gamecocks 62-48, that featured a verbal exchange between the two head coaches following the game.

The Carolina/UConn battle isn’t the only high-profile game on USC’s 2026-27 non-conference schedule released on Friday. The Gamecocks will face nine NCAA tournament teams, six “Top-20” squads, and three conference champions prior to the start of SEC play.
