Aggies trample hapless #Gamecocks into Williams-Brice turf 48-3 (VIDEO)

The second half of the season for USC started the same way the first half ended, with an embarrassing blow-out defeat. If it were possible for the Gamecocks to play any worse than in their 52-24 loss at LSU two weeks ago, they proved that it was in their 48-3 loss to 7th ranked Texas A&M Saturday night at Williams-Brice Stadium, the second worst defeat of the Gamecocks under Will Muschamp. The Aggies dominated the Gamecocks every which way a team can be dominated. For the fourth year in a row, the Gamecock defense had no answer for Aggie quarterback Kellen Mond. He passed for 224 yards and 4 touchdowns, and rushed for 34 yards and a score. In winning 4 times in his career against the Gamecocks, Mond totaled 1158 yards, 6 touchdowns passing, 2 rushing and did not commit a turnover. While the Aggies were sharp on offense, the Gamecock offense looked like they had spent two weeks at the beach instead of preparing a challenging game plan to use against the Aggies. It was a total collapse for a team and a program at a crossroads as year five of the Will Muschamp era limps to a close. The Gamecocks have now lost all 7 games in the series with the Aggies, and they are 2-4 with a game at Ole Miss next Saturday night.
