Super Bowl LIX 2025: which teams will dominate based on early odds

Super Bowl LIX 2025: which teams will dominate based on early odds

The Chiefs (15-1) are the early favorites to win the Super Bowl for the third straight season

How things have changed based on early odds

Odds for the Super Bowl LIX were first released nearly a year ago with the San Francisco 49ers and the Chiefs being the two favorites at +550 and + 850, respectively. There’s been only minor odds movement for the Chiefs, who have stayed among the top spots throughout the season. In contrast, San Francisco has experienced the biggest change in the league, worsening to +100000 odds until their Week 16 loss to the Rams, which officially ended their hopes of playoff contention. The Bills (+900), Ravens (+950), and Lions (+1200) were in the top five then and still are now. Eagles (+2200) and Vikings (+5000), and so have fared significantly better than their opening odds.

The odds at this point in the season usually give a good idea of who has the best chance of winning. But you can also check out Sportytrader’s NFL experts’ picks to see what the pros are saying and better inform your betting decisions.

Super Bowl LIX favorites

Kansas City Chiefs +380

The Chiefs (15-1) maintain their position at first place after a 29-10 over at Pittsburgh on Christmas day. They’ll be keeping their No. 1 spot, as they’re predicted to bag another win in the final regular season match against the Broncos.

Detroit Lions +450

Despite being plagued by injuries, the Lions are talented enough to make a solid case for the Super Bowl. They’re currently 14-2, and projections place them as winners against the Vikings in their Sunday, January 5 matchup.

Buffalo Bills +600

The Bills are champions of the AFC West with a 13-3 record after a pretty easy victory over the New York Jets. They travel to New England on Sunday for the reverse fixture of their Week 16 match against the Patriots.

Baltimore Ravens +650

The Ravens obliterated Houston Texans 31-2 on Christmas day to take the lead in the AFC North. But with one match weekend left in the season, the race between Baltimore and Pittsburgh is yet to be decided.

Philadelphia Eagles +700

This squad is 13-3 and locked in at the top spot in their division. Even without Jalen Hurts (concussion) on the field, they glided to a sweet 41-7 win against the Dallas Cowboys.

Minnesota Vikings  +700

A hard-fought (27-25) victory against the Green Bay Packers shows why the Vikings are a top contender in this year’s Super Bowl. They’re 14-2 and on a nine-week streak ahead of their Week 18 clash against the Lions.

Only two teams can face off in the Super Bowl, which is scheduled for February 9, 2025 at Caesars Superdome. As the main event draws nearer, the lines will keep moving, so make sure you keep an eye on the odds movement and who goes up and down as we head into the playoffs.
