STRecruiting Notebook 6-17: Two in, one out for Shane Beamer Tuesday night; Jackson Ross has a commitment date; Clemson picks up a lefty

USC coach Shane Beamer issued a pair of commitment alerts on Tuesday night for the 2027 class. The Gamecocks have eight commitments. Their last one came on May 15th.

The Gamecocks missed on DT Antwan McKoy of St. Paul’s, NC, on Tuesday night when he committed to Georgia.

One-time South Carolina target OL Caleb Siler of Gunter, TX committed to Northwestern over Texas.

Hammond LB Jackson Ross has set his commitment announcement for July 9th, according to Wes Mitchell of GamecockCentral. Ross made official visits to South Carolina, Vanderbilt, and Texas Tech, and they are the finalists.

South Carolina target Stafford Willis of Arab, AL, has had a June 23rd commitment date. Now, he has a time of 8:00 PM Eastern. He goes to Alabama this weekend. He has also been to South Carolina, UCLA, Virginia, and Virginia Tech.

South Carolina offered 2028 DB Za’khari Greene (6-2 160) of Jacksonville. Some of his other offers are Auburn, Penn State, SMU, Louisville, Florida State, Arkansas, Georgia Tech, and Kentucky.

LB KJ McQueen of LaGrange, GA committed to Coastal Carolina.

Summerville RB Jayven Williams committed to James Madison. Last season he rushed for 2011 yards and 24 touchdowns.

Former Timberland 2028 WR Jordan Gorham was offered by Georgia.

Free agent linebacker Pup Howard of Florida, who started his career at South Carolina, is headed to South Florida.

Free agent LHP Jackson Miller of Bowling Green is headed to Clemson. As a freshman, he appeared in 14 games last season with 10 starts. He was 1-2 with a 5.84 ERA. He struck out 48 and walked 23 in 44.2 innings. He’s a Michigan native.

RHP AJ Rogers of Nova Scotia committed to Coastal Carolina. He had been committed to Houston.

Former South Carolina RHP Elijah Foster is headed to Austin Peay.

Former South Carolina LHP Patrick Dudley is headed to Old Dominion.

Former Citadel catcher Garrett Fulmer has signed with the College of Charleston. This season in 41 games, he hit .289 with one homer and 15 RBIs.
