#STRecruiting Notebook 3-29

One of Clemson’s top offensive line targets, OT Mason Short (6-6 315) of Evans, GA plans to announce his college decision next Friday according to Chad Simmons of On3. Simmons wrote that Short has his decision down to Clemson and Georgia, though Short also lists Kentucky and Ohio State among his finalists. Short has visited Clemson and Georgia twice each this year. He was at Clemson for a junior day January 27th and for a spring practice March 13th.

USC in the top 12 with LB Tavion Wallace of Jesup, GA. The others are Arkansas, Kentucky, Florida, Auburn, LSU, Florida State, Tennessee, Louisville, Georgia, Michigan and Missouri. He has official visits set with Georgia June 7th and USC June 21st. He visited USC last year for a spring practice and was back in July for the cookout. He also visited for a spring practice last Saturday. He has also visited LSU this month and is scheduled to visit Florida State April 12th.

Irmo QB AJ Brand was offered by Virginia Tech Friday while on a visit.

2026 OT Scottland Dover (6-4 308) of Gaffney was in for a visit to USC Thursday. He has offers from Appalachian State and Coastal Carolina.

TheBigSpur reported Furman transfer guard JP Pegues will take an official visit to USC this weekend. Pegues spent three seasons in Greenville and has one year of eligibilityi remaining. This season he averaged 18 points, five assists and four rebounds per game.

USC is in the final six with UT-Martin transfer 5-11 Jordan Sears. He also has Alabama, LSU, West Virginia, Texas Tech and Arizona State on his short list according to Joe Tipton of On3. He began his career at Gardner-Webb where he played two seasons before transferring to UTM two years ago. This season he averaged nearly 22 points, five assists and five rebounds per game.

Columbia native KJ Greene has reopened his recruiting after getting release from UCF. He had drawn some recruiting interest from USC and Clemson prior to his commitment to the Knights last October. He took official visits last fall to Georgetown, Siena and UCF.

Coastal Carolina landed 7-2 Missouri transfer center Mabor Majak. He averaged less than a point and 1.5 rebounds per game this season.

Former Clemson women’s commitment Imari Berry recently took an official visit to Louisville according to 94 Feet WBB.
