Clemson ran its record to 3-0, Tuesday, thanks to a 75-62 victory over Eastern Kentucky. Viktor Lakhin and Chase Hunter led the way with 19 points, apiece. Hunter has reached double figures in all three outings while Cincinnati transfer Lakhin is averaging 13 points/game and shooting 57% with his new club. Lakhin also grabbed a game-high 12 rebounds.

EKU led 54-50 with less than 13 minutes to play before Clemson guard Del Jones knocked down a 3-pointer and picked up a steal on consecutive possessions to spark a 22-1 run.

The Tigers had been shooting a blistering 48% from the 3-point line in the first two games before struggling from the perimeter against EKU. Clemson hit just 7 of 25 from behind the arc but made up for it by outscoring the Colonels in the paint 38-22. Ian Schieffelin (13 points, nine rebounds) also helped Clemson control the boards, resulting in a 41-32 rebounding advantage.

Clemson will play its first road game of the season with a trip to Boise State on deck. Tipoff between the Tigers and the Broncos from Boise, Id., is set for 1:30 p.m., Sunday.
