DeMonte Capehart (#19) isn’t one that believes “work” is a 4-letter word (TigerNet.com)

The word hungry is getting tossed around a lot during Clemson fall camp. It’s fairly obvious that last year’s 9-4 campaign with a 4-4 finish in the ACC did not sit well with the returning players. Lump defensive tackle DeMonte Capehart into that unsatisfied camp.

“I’m always willing to get better, and I show up every day,” the former Hartsville standout told the media over the weekend. “I show up with a hungry mindset every day. I want to get better.”

With Tyler Davis off to the NFL, there is plenty of room on the defensive line for guys like Capehart and Peter Woods to shine. And if Capehart has one word to describe why his unit will play well, it’s effort.

“I feel like if we show up every day, we put the work in, then you’re going to see results, and I guess those are the results you get.” Capehart explained.

Clemson kicks off the new season on August 31st in Atlanta, against preseason number one Georgia.
