Brownell, players respond to #Clemson earning a #6 seed for the NCAA Tournament (AUDIO)

The regular season and ACC Tournament did not end well for Clemson with losses in three of their final four games, but that did not do too much damage to the Tigers’ NCAA Tournament positioning. Experts had them pegged as a five seed most of the way thanks to some quality early season wins that kept their NET Ranking in the mid-20s. So, the downturn at the end only dropped them down a line on the seeding chart if the experts are to be believed.

The Tigers are 21-11 and will face New Mexico Friday afternoon in Memphis in their first tournament game since a run to the Sweet 16 in 2018. The winner of that game will face either Baylor or Colgate in the second round.

Sunday night, Clemson head coach Brad Brownell and players PJ Hall, Chase Hunter and Joseph Girard met with the media to talk about their inclusion in the tournament.
