Brad Brownell is bullish on the future of #Clemson hoops (AUDIO)

Clemson’s leading scorer, PJ Hall, will test his skills in the NBA next season

Coming off just the second “Elite Eight” appearance in program history, Clemson head men’s basketball coach Brad Brownell understandably feels really good about the direction of Tiger basketball. That said, he still believes his program is being undervalued.

“We are winning consistently. We’ve now had some tournament success to go with it,” Brownell stated. “I think that needs to be talked about a little bit more.”

The veteran head coach met with the media on Wednesday afternoon to reflect on this past basketball season. He also elaborated on the current state of Clemson hoops, which finds the Tigers dipping into the transfer portal in an effort to replace the bulk of a roster that finished one win shy of the “Final Four.” With PJ Hall declaring for the NBA draft and key contributors like Josh Beadle, Jack Clark, and RJ Godfrey transferring out, Brownell says he’s lost track of time trying to keep his roster intact.

“We still need to add one or two more,” Brownell revealed. “I don’t even know what day it is. May 9th? 8th? Yeah, it’s just been head down and working at it.”

He also discussed a possible contract extension as well as the backhanded compliments he’s gotten from recruits regarding the facilities at Clemson.
