Tennessee Vols key players:
Quarterbacks: Faizon Brandon & George McIntyre: Brandon is a true freshman who put on about 20 pounds in the spring. He and McIntyre will continue their competition at camp next month. McIntyre redshirted last season after playing in two games. Both are big kids, with Brandon standing 6-4 and McIntyre measured at 6-6.
Wide Receiver Braylon Staley: The former star at Strom Thurmond was one of the top receivers in the SEC last season with 68 catches for 837 yards and eight touchdowns. He and Mike Matthews will give the Vols two of the most dangerous receivers in the SEC.
Offensive Tackle David Sanders: The highly recruited native of Charlotte started six games and played in nine as a true freshman right tackle last season, and is shifting to left tackle for this season. He’ll be the leader of an offensive line that will also feature three free agent signees.
Linebacker Amare Campbell: The transfer from Penn State will bring a lot of experience. He started 13 games for the Nittany Lions last season, and started 13 games at North Carolina the previous season. He totaled 179 tackles and 13 sacks over those two seasons.
