Kentucky Wildcat key players:

Quarterback Kenny Minchey Jr.: The transfer from Notre Dame will get the chance to be the starter with the Wildcats. He originally committed to Nebraska while in the portal before flipping to Kentucky, and he won the starting job in the spring. In three seasons at Notre Dame, he completed 23-29 passes for 212 yards.

Running Back CJ Baxter: The transfer from Texas is healthy again after having ACL surgery in 2024. A highly regarded prep running back, Baxter started six games as a true freshman in 2023, then missed all of the 2024 season. He rushed for 196 yards in eight games last season.

Free Safety Ty Bryant: Led the SEC last season with four interceptions and was named by the coaches 2nd Team All-SEC. He also led the team in tackles with 76.
