SEC Media Days: Auburn Head Coach Alex Golesh (VIDEO) (1st year at Auburn, 23-25 overall at USF, 5-7, 1-7 in 2025)

Auburn Tigers key players:

Quarterback Byrum Brown: Came with his coach from USF and will now face the challenge of SEC defenses. He passed for 3158 yards and 28 touchdowns and rushed for 1008 yards last season. He left Tampa with 15 school records.

Running Back Jeremiah Cobb: Third-team All-SEC last season, started 11 games and rushed for a team-high 969 yards and five touchdowns. He had five 100-yard rushing games.

Linebacker Xavier Atkins: Earned 1st team All-SEC and 2nd team All-American honors last season after leading the team with 84 tackles, 17 tackles for loss and nine sacks. He led the SEC in tackles for loss.

Placekicker Alex McPherson: Was 20-23 on field goals and 35-35 on extra points last season, and has a career-long 53-yard field goal. For his career, he’s 40-45 on field goals and 87-87 on extra points.
