Alabama Crimson Tide top players:

Quarterbacks Keelon Russell & Austin Mack: The battle for the starting job will continue next month as someone will need to step up to replace Ty Simpson. Russell is a Texas native who was the Gatorade National Player of the Year as a high school senior. He played in two games last season and completed 11 of 15 passes for 143 yards and two touchdowns. Mack is a senior from California who started his career at Washington. He was the backup last season and saw action in four games. He completed 24-32 for 228 yards and two touchdowns.

Wide Receiver Ryan Coleman-Williams: After his sensational freshman season in 2024, Coleman-Williams was good last season, but maybe not up to the lofty expectations set for him. He finished with 49 catches for 689 yards and four touchdowns. He had six catches for 53 yards in the Rose Bowl loss to Indiana.

Strong Safety Bray Hubbard: Earned First Team All-SEC honors and 2nd Team All-American honors after starting all 15 games last season. He tied for the SEC lead with four interceptions. He also had 79 tackles with 4.5 tackles for loss. He also broke up six passes and forced three fumbles. He had eight tackles and a sack in the Rose Bowl loss to Indiana.
