Tyler Grisham has been a force on the recruiting trail, and 2028 could be another cycle in which he flexes his muscles.
So far, Clemson has offered only one wide receiver in the 2028 class, but could that be changing soon?
Seven Rashad (6-5, 175) of Buford (GA) was on campus for Clemson’s 28-20 victory over North Carolina in September. It was his first visit since impressing the staff at Dabo Swinney’s high school camp.
Standing well over six feet tall, Rashad’s frame presents a unique profile for interested programs across the country. A big-bodied receiver with an extremely lengthy catch radius creates nightmare matchups for opposing defenses.
The Tigers are eager to join the competition soon, and their victory over the Tar Heels has improved their chances.
“They have a first-class recruitment process and make you feel special,” Rashad recalled following the visit. “The fan support is amazing; you could feel the energy throughout the game. Strong culture! The coaches engaged with all the recruits before game time.”
For the second weekend in a row, Clemson had to take a lengthy break, with lightning delays creating back-to-back two-hour delays throughout the Tigers’ first two home games.
Does that take the intensity out of a visit? Actually, it does the opposite. Recruits chat, and a familiarity with the program continues to grow in areas you didn’t imagine possible on a tight game-day schedule.
“Most of the recruits know one another from playing against each other, so they’re just able to catch up off the field,” the Georgia prospect said. “It was great, because I know we’ll be playing against each other at the next level.”
Right now, USC, Georgia, Tennessee, and Miami continue to stand out as Rashad’s top schools. He visited Tennessee last weekend and has also been to Florida State and Georgia for games. He also plans to see USC, Notre Dame, and Miami in action at some point during the season.
Still, Clemson continues to make a strong impression, and he feels progress toward an offer is being made. Grisham is establishing a solid rapport with a wideout who made significant progress at Swinney’s camp, and both parties have now had a visit to assess the future of this relationship.
“Coach Grish is great,” Rashad exclaimed. “We’re working on building a strong relationship. It was a big game win for Clemson. They are building that relationship with me.”
Rashad’s offer list includes USC, Nebraska, Pitt, Florida State, Tennessee, Georgia, Ole Miss, Virginia Tech, Georgia Tech, Duke, Louisville, Auburn and Mississippi State.
