Antonio Flowers

2028 DL Antonio Flowers (6-3, 300) of Charlotte is another talented prospect in the Queen City that South Carolina is eyeballing. Defensive line coach Travian Robertson has already offered Flowers, and he had him in for another visit last weekend for the Kent State game.

“It was great. That was my third time being down there, second time going to a game visit,” Flowers said. “It was a good environment. I ended up leaving at halftime with my mom when it was a blowout. It was a great blowout for South Carolina. The defense and offense were dominating the whole game. And it was a good vibe. I talked to Coach Rob as soon as I got there. He stopped to see me. I have a really good relationship with Coach T-Rob. He’s just been telling me everything about the football side, and he checks on me every now and then. It’s really good. I’m looking forward to going back to South Carolina to see him, see the team, see the coaches, Coach Beamer, and everything.”

Robertson has done a great job with Flowers, who didn’t hesitate in naming the Gamecocks his current favorite.

“They’re the number one,” Flowers said. “South Carolina has been the number one on my list since January. They’ve been communicating with me nonstop. Hasn’t been a time where I’ve been like, I haven’t talked to South Carolina in a while. They’ve been communicating with me every other day. They’ve been great. But I want to continue to let things play out. I do have a couple more games I want to come to, but I don’t know yet. I haven’t picked. I’m going to talk to Coach Rob. I’ll be at UNC this weekend, and then I’ll be going down to Georgia, down to Athens.”

Flowers added that he also wants to get to games at LSU and Michigan.

Along with the Gamecocks, Flowers cited a few other programs coming hard after him at this point.

North Carolina. I’ve been communicating with them since I got to my new school,” Flowers said. “We went down for a camp, and I’ve been communicating with them. Georgia, Coach Scott, he’s on me pretty strong. Coach O, up at LSU. I talked on the phone with him while I was at South Carolina.”

From those other schools, Flowers said Georgia and LSU stand out to him to form a top list along with the Gamecocks. He also likes Wake Forest a good bit.

Flowers also has offers from Virginia, Nebraska, Virginia Tech, Louisville, Auburn, Indiana, Kentucky, Missouri, Kansas State, Florida State, Syracuse, Southern Miss, Appalachian State, and USF.
