STRecruiting Notebook: South Carolina reportedly strongly positioned with Virginia LB

Brian Dohn of 247Sports reported South Carolina is close on a possible commitment from 2028 LB Corvin Watson of Virginia Beach. Watson visited for the Tennessee game and came out of that visit very strong on the Gamecocks. But Dohn also reported that Watson might slow down his process after landing an offer from Michigan, while Penn State appears close to offering. Dohn also reported a commitment projection for USC QB target Anthony Turner of Virginia Beach to Virginia Tech.

Dillon OL Marcus White to visit North Carolina Saturday.

2027 DL Simeon Jones Jr. of North Augusta will visit Southern Cal this weekend. The Trojans have offered. He visited USC last weekend and is in contact with Gamecock DL coach Travian Robertson. He is a James Madison commit.

South Carolina target OL Ty McCurry will visit Ole Miss Saturday. He plans to visit the Gamecocks in November.
