South Carolina has been in hot pursuit of CB Josh Dobson (6-1 180) for over two years. The Gamecocks offered the former Catawba Ridge standout in May of 2024. Shane Beamer and Torrian Gray have been relentless in their recruiting efforts. And the Gamecocks reportedly are willing to pay big dollars to sign him. Tonight around 6:00 PM, they will learn if their efforts have paid off. Dobson is set to make his public commitment on the Rivals YouTube channel, with USC, Michigan, and Texas A&M considered the final three after Clemson and LSU fell by the wayside. Over the last 24 hours, national analysts have been lodging predictions for the Gamecocks.
Dobson isn’t the only Gamecock target announcing on Wednesday. DE Marquis Evans of Hoover, AL, is set to announce around 11:35 AM on the Rivals channel. The predictions have been coming in for Auburn over USC, Tennessee, Miami and Florida.
