STRecruiting Notebook 8-28: USC women’s coach Dawn Staley getting work done on the recruiting front; More game-day visits being lined up by USC and Clemson football targets

South Carolina women’s coach Dawn Staley announced that 5-7 free agent Brooke Quarles Daniels of Michigan has signed with the Gamecocks for her fifth season. Daniel was on the Big Ten All-Defensive Team last season. She averaged 5 points, 2 assists, and 2 steals per game in her two seasons with the Wolverines. She began her career at Oakland.

6-4 Zaniya Johnson of Biloxi, MS has a final five of South Carolina, Florida State, LSU, Texas A&M, and Mississippi State. She has an official visit set with USC for October 2nd.

5-9 Kaylor Buse of Linn, OR has an official visit set with South Carolina for October 3rd. She has visited Washington, and will also visit TCU, Utah and Oregon.

2028 6-0 Chris Paul II of Valley Village, CA, reportedly will take an unofficial visit to South Carolina on September 19th.

2028 LB Skylar Alston of Raleigh plans a game-day visit to South Carolina on October 3rd. He also plans to visit Tennessee, NC State, Michigan, Auburn, Penn State, North Carolina, and Rutgers for games.

2028 LB/RB Camden Noe plans to visit Clemson on September 19th. He also has visits planned to Texas A&M, Georgia, Michigan State, Alabama, Michigan, Notre Dame, and Ohio State.

2028 OL Joey Fleming of Huntsville, AL has Clemson down for an October 3rd game day visit. He also plans to visit Vanderbilt, LSU, Ohio State, Alabama, Notre Dame, and Oklahoma.

2029 TE Noah Tarrant (6-4 212) of Fort Worth was offered by Miami and Oklahoma. South Carolina offered him in camp in 2025. He’s also camped at Clemson.

2029 RB Brayden Boults, formerly of Crestwood and now in Fort Worth, was offered by Miami and LSU.

Boston College offered Dutch Fork prospects 2028 OL Brody Lorenzo, 2028 DB Kareem Dupree, 2029 WR Corey Miller, and 2029 DB Taddrick Gibson.

2028 LB Phillip Savage (6-3 210) of Powdersville was offered by Coastal Carolina.

2028 RB Michael Martin II of Christ Church and 2028 Riggs Savage of Powdersville plan to visit Virginia on Saturday.
