STRecruiting Notebook 7-31: Clemson target chooses Georgia; Catching up on some other football and basketball notes from the week; USC baseball with another commitment

Long-time Clemson target SAF Seth Williams of Atlanta, who was once committed to Clemson, announced a commitment to Georgia Friday night. Williams originally committed to Clemson in March, and then he decommitted in April. Clemson and Georgia were his only two official visits.

South Carolina target QB Anthony Turner of Virginia Beach was offered by Colorado. He plans to visit the Gamecocks September 19th.

2028 CB Kahmaree Crumity of Tallahassee plans to visit Clemson for a game on October 3rd against Miami.

South Carolina and Clemson target 2028 OL Brendan Hall of Charlotte was offered by Virginia.

2030 WR Moses Irwin of Meridian, ID was offered by South Carolina. He was also recently offered by former Gamecock personnel director Taylor Edwards, who is now at Florida State.

2028 DE Nasir Walker of Columbia was offered by USF.

Furman will get an official visit from 6-8 Nolan Nelson of Charlotte on August 28th. Jamie Shaw reported Nelson will also take official visits to USF on August 21st and to Harvard on September 10th.

6-4 Tray Phillips is transferring from South Pointe to Hunter Huss in Gastonia, NC.

Former Gray Collegiate PG Luis Echevarria has landed at Moravian Prep in NC.

2028 6-3 JJ Gray is leaving Carolina Forest to join Queens Grant High in Matthews, NC. He’s the son of Coastal Carolina coach Justin Gray.

6-7 Desmond Harrington of Gray Collegiate in Columbia is leaving for Link Academy in Missouri.

6-4 Justin Wise of Bogart, GA, who just included Clemson in his top six, has set official visits with Miami, Texas, Vanderbilt and Tennessee.

Clemson is in the final six with 6-2 Tre Keith of Tri-Cities, GA. The others are Virginia Tech, Mississippi State, Georgia Tech, Saint Louis, and Boston College.

Clemson is in the final six with 6-2 Josh Tyson of West Chester, OH. The others are Xavier, Ohio State, Michigan State, Cincinnati and Virginia Tech.

Clemson is involved with 6-7 Jayon Connor of Lewisville, NC. Some others are Vanderbilt, NC State, Wake Forest, Tennessee, Houston, and Michigan State.

South Carolina baseball sent out a commitment alert on Friday. RHP Chase Colaianni of Fair Lawn, NJ visited South Carolina this week. Virginia Tech has also been involved. He was once committed to Stetson.
