STRecruiting Notebook 7-15: More of the state’s top basketball players are opting for out-of-state programs; Some random football notes

According to Andrew Baxley of PrepHoopsSC, two of the state’s highly recruited 2028 basketball prospects are moving to new programs outside of South Carolina for this coming season. 2028 6-8 Brice Wiersma is leaving TL Hanna and relocating to Christ School in Asheville. And 6-4 Antonio Caughman is departing Keenan for Oak Hill Academy in Virginia. Wiersma averaged 18 points and eight rebounds per game last season. Caughman averaged 15 points and five rebounds per game. Those two join 2027 6-6 Josh Leonard of Wilson as top players exiting the state. Leonard is headed for IMG Academy in Florida.

South Carolina target 2028 LB Skylar Alston of Raleigh was offered by Michigan.

South Carolina target OL Ty Winn of Philadelphia plans to visit Penn State for the White Out game against Southern Cal.

Clemson target 2028 LB Domonic Williams of Jacksonville, NC was offered by Florida State and Virginia Tech.

2028 OL Thomas Inkelaar of Andover, KS, who camped at Clemson and is drawing interest from Matt Luke, was offered by Virginia Tech.
