STRecruiting Notebook 6-26: Major Clemson target to reveal decision on Saturday afternoon; USC brings in another from Wake Forest via the portal; Furman adds grad transfer receiver

The long-awaited decision from SAF Jayden Aparicio-Bailey (6-2 190) of Prattville, AL, will be announced on Saturday afternoon around 3:00 PM, with Rivals handling the production. Aparicio-Bailey narrowed his decision to Clemson and Georgia after cutting South Carolina, Ohio State, and Auburn from his short list. He made his official visit to Clemson on May 29th, and he followed that with his visit to Georgia the following weekend. He also camped at Clemson in 2025, went for a game last season, and attended a recruiting function in March. In his career, Aparicio-Bailey has made 68 tackles with six interceptions and five deflections.

One time Clemson target LB Sean Fox committed to Kentucky on Thursday night.

On Sunday, Hammond LB Jackson Ross will announce his commitment decision around 5:00 PM. He is down to USC, Vanderbilt and Texas Tech, and he took official visits to all three.

OL Dewey Young of Kalamazoo, MI, who made an official visit to South Carolina in early May, will announce his commitment on July 6th. He also visited Georgia, Vanderbilt, Colorado, Syracuse, and Purdue. It doesn’t appear the Gamecocks have had much traction with him since his OV.

Graduate transfer WR  Daniel Haugton (6-1 190) is headed to Furman from Dartmouth. The Charlotte native had 57 catches for 687 yards and three touchdowns in three seasons with the Big Green.

Clemson target 2028 QB Trace Hawkins was offered by Virginia Tech.

LHP Ryan Brennecke is moving from Wake Forest to South Carolina. The Wisconsin native pitched 4.1 innings this season as a freshman. He originally committed to South Carolina and Mark Kingston while in high school, the backed out of that when Kingston was fired.
