STRecruiting Notebook 6-22: Clemson offers pair of 2028 QBs; Georgia SAF still with USC in his top two; CCU with more football & baseball commitments

Sunday night, Clemson offered a pair of 2028 quarterback prospects they had in for camps this month. Trace Hawkins (6-1 165) is from Calhoun, CA. Virginia Tech also offered him on Sunday following a visit to Blacksburg. He also has offers from North Carolina, LSU, Kentucky, Georgia Tech, Georgia, Cincinnati, Duke, Indiana, Auburn, Florida, SMU, and Iowa State. He also visited Clemson for their spring game. Last season Hawkins passed for 2442 yards and 24 touchdowns with three interceptions.

The Tigers also offered QB Trey Wright (5-11 180) of Frisco, TX. Last season, he threw for 4062 yards and 43 touchdowns, and rushed for 1798 yards and 16 touchdowns. Wright has also been offered by South Carolina, Florida State, Oklahoma, Kentucky, Oregon, North Carolina, Arizona, Kansas, Purdue, Utah, Houston, UCLA, Michigan, Pitt, Baylor, TCU, SMU, Oklahoma State, and others.

SAF Kennedy Green of Douglasville, GA, made his official visit to Mississippi State over the weekend. Though he has been committed to the Bulldogs, he has not made a final call between the Bullies and USC, which he visited on the first of May. He has remained in contact with USC secondary coach Torrian Gray, and the two spoke on Sunday night. Green is scheduled to announce on July 11th, around 8:00 PM, with 247Sports involved.

OL Jaylen Hill of Lannett, AL, who drew some interest from South Carolina, committed to Missouri.

RB Sergarion Gunsby, who drew some attention at a USC camp, committed to Toledo.

OL Aiden Wilson (6-6 300) of Newport, NC committed to Coastal Carolina.

WR KJ Davis of Fort Pierce, FL committed to Coastal Carolina.

OL Jayden Williams (6-4 310) of Tuscaloosa committed to Alabama.

OL Israel Harris (6-2 330) of James Island committed to Liberty.

2029 WR Corey Miller of Dutch Fork was offered by LSU.

2029 OL Jordan Lewis of Dorman was offered by Auburn.

Baseball News

Coastal Carolina picked up free agent OF/1B Devan Zirwas from Eastern Michigan. Over the last two seasons, he had 21 homers and 104 RBIs.

LHP/1B Jackson Farlow of Southern Union State JC, AL committed to Coastal Carolina.

RHP Jacob Evans of McClennan JC, TX committed to Coastal Carolina.

Former South Carolina LHP Logan Prisco is headed to Texas A&M. 14 of the 23 USC players who entered the free agent market have found new homes.
