Wednesday night, Clemson offensive line coach Matt Luke handed out several offers to 2028 offensive line prospects:
- Jackson Snelling (6-5 280) of Sarasota.
- Brendan Hall (6-7 310) of Charlotte.
- Daven Reed (6-4 310) of Roanoke, VA
- Sam Walker (6-5 290) of Carrollton, GA
- Joey Fleming (6-5 280) of Huntsville, AL
- Reece Wilmes (6-5 280) of Lawrence, KS
Clemson Wednesday night also offered 2028 LB Tahj Gray (6-3 225) of Montvale, NJ
South Carolina has ended its recruitment of Bluffton WR Amare Patterson, Wes Mitchell of GamecockCentral reported Wednesday morning on InsideTheGamecocks. Patterson made his official visit to USC last weekend, and after that visit, GamecockCentral reported that “indications look positive” for South Carolina to land Patterson. An earlier report had him “trending” to USC. Now, it appears his decision is down to North Carolina and Georgia Tech. He plans to announce on Saturday at 6:00 PM.
South Carolina target DE Chris Whitehead of Chesapeake, VA, who visited last weekend, committed to LSU. He also visited Virginia Tech, and was scheduled to visit Ohio State this weekend.
One-time South Carolina target OL Caleb Siler of Gunter, TX committed to Northwestern over Texas.
Pickens QB Brooks Dow received a PWO offer from South Carolina as a TE.
Woodruff RB Aidan Gibson tells us he will be at USC Thursday with his 7×7 team, but won’t play. He’s committed to Penn State, and USC has not been recruiting him, though he got a call from a recruiting assistant to check on if he was coming in.
Midland Valley TE Cameron Gleaton was offered by Colorado State and by Georgia Southern.
2029 OL Jordan Lewis and 2029 RB Carter Nash of Dorman were offered by North Carolina.
Baseball News:
INF Tristan Strickland of Florence-Darlington Tech committed to Coastal Carolina. He hit .397 with 16 homers and 69 RBIs this season.
LHP Joshua Mills (6-2 185) of Canada committed to Coastal Carolina. He had been committed to Houston.
Former South Carolina RHP Josh Gunther is headed to Georgia Tech.
