USC baseball Wednesday landed a commitment from 2028 RHP/INF Miles Cornell of Brentwood, CA. Here’s a scouting report from Perfect Game: Athletic build with room to add. In the infield, he preps well with quick first step. Reaches for the backhand some but secures cleanly. Soft hands work out front and funnel well. Athletic lateral mover for the size. Throws come out well with accuracy across the diamond. Right-handed hitter, narrow base, upright stance, and moderate leg lift that creates flowing separation. Leverages the barrel well to impact it to the pull side. On the barrel in batting practice and in-game. 7.39 60-yard.
