STRecruiting 9-8: Another in-state prospect set to announce on Monday; LSU making a run at Landon Duckworth

TE Caden Ramsey (6-5 210) of Cross will make his commitment announcement on Monday at around 12:30 PM at his school. Ramsey has South Carolina and Virginia Tech as his top two. He also considered Georgia Tech and Syracuse among his favorites. Ramsey also plays safety and led the state last season with 14 interceptions. He also had 46 catches for 749 yards and nine touchdowns.

South Carolina commitment QB Landon Duckworth of Jackson, AL was offered by LSU over the weekend. He visited Baton Rouge on Saturday. Duckworth committed to the Gamecocks for a second time in mid-July, with Auburn the runner-up at that time. Duckworth is expected to visit USC this Saturday for the Vanderbilt game.

Dorman DE Christian Waring (6-4 285) committed to Appalachian State.

Dutch Fork DE Julian Walker, who is a Michigan commitment, was at USC Saturday night for the SC State game.

South Carolina commitment SAF Triston Lewis of Greenwood, Friday night, broke the school’s passing record with 420 yards and five touchdowns in a win over Dorman.

Clemson target 2027 LB Kaden Henderson of Tampa plans to visit LSU this Saturday.

2027 Dutch Fork DE Jade Wuerth was offered by Miami and Penn State over the weekend.

Florida State and Stanford Saturday offered 2027 WR Jaiden Kelly-Murra of Summerville.

2028 LB Jay Schell, formerly of Daniel and now at Rabun Gap, GA, was offered by Kentucky.

2029 RB Brayden Boults of Crestwood was among the recruits to visit Clemson on Saturday for the Troy game.

Per GamecockCentral, 6-0 Emily McDonald of New York and 6-2 Kaeli Wynn of Los Angeles made official visits to South Carolina over the weekend.
