STRecruiting: 2028 OL Brendan Hall back on familiar turf last Saturday at Clemson’s Death Valley

He was wet but thrilled to be back at Death Valley Saturday night. 2028 OL Brendan Hall of Charlotte, the son of former Clemson offensive lineman Les Hall, has spent many a Saturday watching Clemson football in person. And even though he had to sit through a downpour and a lengthy weather delay, his enthusiasm for being back at Clemson was not impacted.

“Even with the delay, the stadium was like 85% filled, which I thought was dedication towards the fans,” Hall said. “Love the environment and always have.”

Clemson coach Dabo Swinney and offensive line coach Matt Luke are making a hard charge to keep Hall in the family as they contend with many other major programs for his talents.

“My relationship has grown; getting to know the staff better and creating stronger bonds with the coaches has only helped my connection grow,” Hall said. “I have said it before, but the thing that sticks out to me is the Alumni and how they keep coming back. That truly says something if former players want to be a part of the Tigers and want to be a coach or staff member.”

When it came to the game itself, Clemson couldn’t hide from Hall or the other recruits on hand the troubles with the offense to this point. True freshman Tait Reynolds is now the starting quarterback, and Hall believes the Arizona native can step in and do the job.

“Reynolds isn’t scared to step and up run, but still he is young and inexperienced,” Hall said. “The offense moved well, showed room for improvement, but could be exciting to watch once mistakes are limited to none.”

Along with Clemson, Hall has some strong affection for South Carolina, Virginia Tech, Tennessee and Georgia Tech. He has also been to a game at Virginia Tech, and he plans to get to games in Columbia and Knoxville.

Clemson is certainly in the mix for one of the top spots, and if you ask Hall, the staff just needs to be consistent in his recruitment, and if that expectation is met, he can see himself making it his future home.

“Clemson stands high up there, having a past, strong relationships with the staff and recent game day visit,” Hall said. “If they can go upwards and stay consistent, then it could be my possible home.”
