The Chanticleers are hoping to “black out” Appalachian State on Thursday night (CCU Athletics)

After starting the season 4-1, the Coastal Carolina football team has hit a bit of a speed bump. The Chanticleers have dropped three straight, including a 38-24 setback at Troy on Saturday. But there’s no time to sulk as Coastal plays host to App State in front of a nationally televised audience (ESPN) at 8 p.m. on Thursday night.

Due to the short week, head coach Tim Beck held his weekly press conference on Monday to recap the loss to Troy and preview this week’s matchup with the Mountaineers.
